We believe wellness is something to be cultivated daily, through how we care for ourselves - mind, body and spirit. We also value the idea of becoming your own "wellness advocate" in deciding individually what is best for you and your family across time. Our wellness blends aren't the only answer to any specific issue but can be used as a special part of your self-care routine towards relaxation and overall wellbeing. Most of our lives are rife with environmental and situational stressors - even those of us who are health conscious are still subject to demanding schedules and exposure to toxins in our environment. EVERYONE HAS STRESS AND ANXIETY AT TIMES - Yep, you do too! Sometimes stress manifests in sneaky ways like physical pain, low immunity, and insomnia. Other times it is more overt in the form of depression, mood swings, low motivation etc. Our blends are designed to help target these areas of stressors and help your system find the balance you have been craving.

We are a neurodivergent couple in our 40s, diagnosed in adulthood with ADHD and clinical depression. Over the years we have become passionate about finding healthier and creative ways to maintain our mental health and the overall wellness of our family. We have become disillusioned by most food and general products available on the market today and the lack of quality and concern for safety regarding ingredients used. We want to share what we have learned with others and inspire you to become your own wellness advocate!
A bit about us:
~Amanda has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2011 and specializes in PTSD and inner-self work. She has run a private counseling practice for 1`1 years and is passionate about helping others learn to help themselves more effectively.
~Justin is a dedicated stay-at-home parent and homeschool teacher to our daughter and the aficionado of all things fun around here. He is passionate about natural wellness and finding new solutions to help others manage their overall health.
~Rori is a kiddo with a passion for nature and all things cats! She has enjoyed learning about wellness blends and has created her own line of "magic color changing teas". Rori took a special interest in how food coloring and additives affect kids' brains and wants others to understand how they are hidden in a lot of products "designed" for children. Rori loves to learn, create anything that comes to mind and make lots of friends wherever she goes!
We only use the freshest ingredients from the most reputable sources. This makes an astounding difference in the finished taste and usefulness of your blend! Dried herbs, roots and spices are meant to be used within a year but many "tea companies" spray preservatives onto already-stale products to keep them "fresh" for you on the shelf. B

Dried herbs, roots and spices are meant to be used within a year but many "tea companies" spray preservatives onto already-stale products to keep them "fresh" for you on the shelf. By the time you have it steeped, it is far from fresh and the nutrients have been compromised. Herbal blends are light, fruity and herbaceous tasting and using the freshest ingredients ensures that your blend is beautiful, fresh and effective! Many of our ingredients are certified organic and will be indicated in the ingredients list. We don't use many "true teas" in our blends like black tea - our blends are herbal components blended together for the best taste and effect. Herbal blends without tea are called "tisanes" but we are still keeping it "tea" because it's easier and so many fun things rhyme with it.
We spent a long time researching which plants we wanted to include in our blends. In our search for the best ingredients, we learned about adaptogens and their ability to help the system prepare and adapt to stress and their potential to prevent neurological burnout. Each of our blends have at least two apoptogenic components and several key effective ingredients. We have worked hard to make our blends taste pleasant as well but if you have a taste preference, let us make a custom blend for you!

One of the reasons we founded I Have AnxieTEA is to help continue to destigmatize mental health related issues, educate others on how stress and anxiety significantly affect our system on an ongoing basis and also to offer creative resources and solutions to help others find new ideas to help themselves. I have identified 7 areas that my counseling clients over time seem to struggle with under the surface the most that also affect their mental health. I believe that we ALL have the ability to take small steps to make big changes in our overall wellness and that bringing mindfulness to these areas can help mitigate symptoms significantly. Our blends are designed to supplement and support you in these areas as you take other regular steps towards health and wellness. We will be posting suggestions and links across time and a blog with ideas of small steps you can take and resources to help you find new way to help yourself .
Although we are big on learning to become your own wellness advocate, we also believe that it is a strength to reach out and ask for help when it is needed and knowing when it is time to seek intervention from others is important. We are working on a resource list to be posted soon!
